President
Nakesha High is the Executive Director and oversees the day-to-day operations of the organization. With nearly 20 years of experience working with social service organizations, Nakesha is highly knowledgeable and possesses the necessary skills to build successful welfare programs. For 17 years, she served as the chairperson of the Volunteer, Outreach Ministers Auxiliary at Greater Bethel Cathedral Church in Los Angeles, California. In this leadership role, she was in charge of member motivation, fundraising, and marketing within the organization
During her nine-year tenure with the largest service provider for survivors of domestic abuse and homelessness in California, Nakesha realized the program offered counseling with a reactive approach. Nakesha worked to refocus the program to be more proactive, empowering women to effect positive change in their lives.
With an entrepreneurial drive, she launched HEDC, which is poised to be a world-class organization powerfully impacting the lives of homeless individuals in San Bernardino and Riverside County.

We focus on relationships and facilitating understanding, evaluation, involvement, exchange of information, and opinions about concepts, issues, and projects to build social capital and enhance social outcomes through decision-making. Our aim is community-capacity building, focusing on helping transform relationships between ordinary people and people in positions of power so that everyone can take part in the issues that affect masses in a community. We are determined to build communities based on justice, equality, and mutual respect and revitalize communities, especially those impoverished or struggling.
